- Body
- medium
- Palate
- lots of wood varnish, acetone(never tasted it but the taste is very chemical in a bad way), vanilla, cherry cola

- burnt sugar
this tastes as if its better put to use as a paintbrush cleaner, way too much of that varnish flavor

Currently only $20 for a superior Bourbon. I'm mostly a Scotch drinker. Of the bourbons I've had (Eagle Rare, Jameson, Maker's Mark) I get bored of them fast. Other than sweetness and smoothness, they don't have much else going for them...but Bulleit is different. The higher Rye content adds so much character and spice to the Bourbon that I cannot help but make it my mainstay Bourbon drink....for $20 not a difficult decision. Also, look for Bulleit American Rye @ 95%+ Rye Mash content....delicious.

- Color
- Russet amber
- Nose
- Dry oak abounds and subtle sweetness compliments
- Body
- So mellow, it's very nearly a light body
- Palate
- Heaven on the palate, it's less sweet than many bourbons, due to reported higher rye content, and at 45% alcohol, remarkably smooth. The grain/sweetness balance is superb.
- Finish
- Mild but lasting warm finish of oak and vanilla
Something is amiss here, Watson! Combine all of the wonderful characteristics of this singular bourbon, and then look at the average retail price. At $20 - $25 per 750 ml, Bulleit should be in everyone’s recession-era liquor cabinet--and beyond…

- Color
- Warm Honey
- Nose
- A little spicy, hints of caramel, very pleasant.
- Body
- Slightly syrupy texture, coats well. Very smooth, with no burn
- Palate
- Starts with a small vanilla burst and then becomes more butterscotch/milk chocolate. Very consistent.
- Finish
- A very good finish, interesting aftertastes, lingering pear on the back of the tongue.
This is my first try of this whiskey, I bought a bottle based on some of the reviews here. I am very pleasantly surprised and will not hesitate to buy more in the future. This has become my standard fare for regular consumption. I started out as a Jack Daniels fan, but this has encouraged me to expand my horizons. I'm finding that I lean more towards Bourbons than Scotch, and this whiskey is what seems to be pushing me in that direction. Very smooth.

- Color
- amber, honey,
- Nose
- sweetish, alcohol, nothing special stands out.
- Body
- I couldn't really tell as I was trying not to spit it out. It speed bags the taste buds at the back of the palate like upcoming hurl.
- Palate
- Initial nasty flavor. Soon after that shock it settles into a reasonable bourbon taste.
- Finish
- Seemed to have a very long finish as I wondered what the heck just happened and looked at Joe who was wondering the same.
This was a big letdown for me. The initial thought is it's polluted. It hits the tongue with a decidedly unpleasant and unexpected flavor. Surprisingly it settles out to be a decent bourbon after a few seconds. My bourbon buddy described the same experience. Not nearly as good as other bourbons in the price range. Initially it hits the back of the tongue like $3.50 rot got.

- Color
- A light brown/orange color
- Nose
- A very light nose. Almost absent. Something slightly sweet (slight vanilla). Alcohol is a little pronounced. Very little oak. Hard to believe that this is a bourbon.
- Body
- Thin like cold water.
- Palate
- Not much on the palate. Very light. The tiniest hint of oak. Vodka like. It has a slight kick to it. Slightly hot, spicy, and bitter. Acidic and sour.
- Finish
- Weak, short and disappointing. Acidic.
This is "brown vodka". Definitely not worth the $23. A horrible whiskey. The acidic taste and finish makes you want to drink a good amount of water. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!

- Color
- Amber.
- Nose
- Vanilla, toasted rye bread.
- Body
- Medium bodied with medium grit.
- Palate
- Lamp oil, charred/burned oak, vanilla, wood/shoe polish, roasted corn, acetone.
- Finish
- A nice enough burn in length, heat, and smoothness, but the vanilla shoe polish breath owns much of the afterburn, lending it a sour finish.
I find myself wanting to eat some chips and roasted corn and jalapeno salsa with this while drinking a cherry coke. I'm kind of a single malt scotch snob, but this is definitely a worthy value for the price.

- Color
- Dark Amber honey
- Nose
- Slightly fruity with a bit of spice
- Body
- medium-full body
- Palate
- Vanilla, a bit of cherry and brown sugar in there too.
- Finish
- As another commentor stated it is almost "medicinal". Has a long warm finish that is slightly numbing, without affecting the palate for the next taste!
For this price point I don't know what else they could do better! 5 stars in my book!

- Color
- Light Copperish Orange.
- Nose
- 99.9% Ethyl Alcohol + Cherry Cola. Perhaps a bit of fruity sweetness.
- Body
- Sharp. Medium Texture and Body.
- Palate
- 99.9% Ethyl Alcohol + Cherry Cola mixed 5/1; sweet like brown sugar with a warming/burning sensation.
- Finish
- Warms the belly, numbs the mouth. General warm and soothing feelings.
First bourbon I have really ever enjoyed! Delicious whiskey if I may so myself. Most defiantly "distinctive and exceptional" far beyond my perception of bourbon whiskey.

One of the best Bourbon's i have drank. For the money I would find this a hard one to beat. Great job!

A very very good bourbon. I've gone and tryed every bourbon they have at my local LCBO, and for the price, this stuff cannot be beat, I would say that it is even better than makers mark, knob creek, woodford reserve, And it's twenty dollars cheaper.

A real good bourbon. In my opinion, best enjoyed neat. A good sipper. Probably a great mixer, too.
