Extra smooth sour mash distilled from a time-honored formula originated in 1783. Evan Williams is produced in the heart of Kentucky\'s Bourbon country. This Bourbon is aged for a smoother, more complex flavor - word-renowned by Bourbon lovers.

better than jack, too sweet for my taste ... look out for the single barrel editions which are 10 years old, id say those are around 90-91

Review by Eye-lah Guy
- Color
- Delicate amber in the glass
- Nose
- Spicy vanilla egg cream
- Body
- Full bodied with gams
- Palate
- "Vermont Fancy" grade maple syrup on a warm stack with butter; a log on the fire with fresh cut barrel oak balances like yin & yang
- Finish
- Sparks fly with an earthy oaken finish that's both warm and sweet, which wraps up this tidy little dram from a big distillery
Is it great? No, but for $14, this is one of the best bangs for a buck you'll find. Unlike many out there with their nose in the air (I say that a lot), I don't shy away from drinking this firecracker neat; MAN UP!!! But then again, if I have to mix it, I don't bother to drink it. So there.

Review by Colin L
- Color
- Caramel coloured, old penny.
- Nose
- Crisp, sweet, minty, burnt sugar
- Body
- Medium light, slightly oily
- Palate
- Leather, burnt sugar, salt toffee, cola. A hint of crisp grainy spirit.
- Finish
- Cola and sugar fade slowly until black cherry and cola.
I want to say something about this whiskey without mentioning Buffallo trace, or Jim Beam sour mash, but it's hard to do so. It's got the cherry cola kick of one, and the leathery headiness of the other. Very nice whiskey!
