- Nose
- Sweet molasses, cinnamon spice, carmelized orange peel
- Body
- Thick and chewy
- Palate
- Orange and cinnamon with hint of dark chocolate and pepper

- Longer than regular Makers with a touch of wood embers on the end
This is for the new Maker's 46 where oak staves have been added to classic Maker's barrels for a few extra months of maturation. It adds a bit of spice and lengthens the finish. Very nice full flavor that builds on Maker's classic base.

- Color
- Grade B Maple syrup
- Nose
- Toasted oak and tree fruit
- Body
- Rich and aggressive body, with legs that cling
- Palate
- Summer corn on the charcoal grill, and it balances out like identical twins on a sea-saw
- Finish
- A double-edged samurai sword of a finish-first nuclear apples and cinnamon, backed up by a bolt of lightning-infused malt, it takes no prisoners and dares you to step in for another contest (which, of course, you do).
Talk about "proud to be an American," this dastardly dram earns pole position in every whiskey drinker's cabinet. A Holy Grail of value in the US at just $26, it sports massive essence with wide complexity. This Kentucky reins atop the hill of it’s peers, and actually seems to improve with each tasting. A doozy of a dram. What else do you want?

- Light, glowing.
- Nose
- Corn, vanilla, honey, maple
- Body
- Full, tasty
- Palate
- Sweetness and corn followed by some rye and hay bales
- Finish
- Shortish finish. Nothing lingering, but worth coming back to another sip.
You really can't knock this Bourbon. It's exactly what a bourbon should be, no more and no less. I've enjoyed this neat, and in mixed drinks, and both have proved to be enjoyable.

I am surprised at the somewhat low score. This is one of my favorite whiskys. It is not very expensive and is best neat. Not a very good mixer, but one of the best to drink straight.

- Color
- Reddish amber.
- Nose
- Vanilla, apple, brown sugar.
- Body
- Medium-bodied, smooth and creamy. Doesn't burn.
- Palate
- Sour apple, vanilla, caramel notes coming through, with subtle undertones of molasses.
- Finish
- A warming, tingly finish that doesn't last too long but lingers enough to make me want another sip.
I prefer Maker's with just a touch of pure, room-temperature water. It's not an extremely complex whiskey, but it is pleasant, drinkable, and very smooth.
