- Color
- Medium to light in colour
- Nose
- Good without being overpowering
- Body
- Warm and glowing
- Palate
- Slightly sweet but with no 'afterburn'.
- Finish
- Warm and soothing
As far as I can tell this is the same as Aldi's Glen Marnoch. It is superb and as a result I no longer drink any blends. It is simply superb and very nearly as good as my favourites, the Glen Livet and The Macallan.

- Color
- Dark yellow amber
- Nose
- Citrus and fruit
- Body
- Very slightly oily with a touch of grit, not a lot of body. Mild to lightly medium.
- Palate
- Smoke, some cherry, a woodsy taste, not much earth. Differs from the nose.
- Finish
- Short finish. Does not last as well as an older dram might.
Color and smell are very nice. The have the promise of an excellent find. The finish is the separater between this and something that is truly great. Not to say that this not worth the purchase of a bottle. This is an excellent whiskey that can be drank everyday. Great for a beginner or experienced nose.

- Color
- Golden amber in the glass
- Nose
- Clearly palpable touting oak vs. sherry
- Body
- Mid to full-bodied
- Palate
- Fine pure malt and grains finished with sweet sherry and caramel; thankfully unlike the nose, balance eschews competition; a fine balance is indeed achieved where neither new oak nor sherry cask triumphs-instead, they pay one another fine compliment
- Finish
- Finishes with a sting of malt and sherry, while fading out to reveal caramel and toasted oak char.
This is exquisite stuff; not your archetypal Highlander. May even hold up to a cigar as honorably as it’s specialty cousin, but it’s even better since there’s no need to trade complexity for the requisite bombast to ward off a tobacco onslaught.

- Color
- Dark gold, with a slight red hue.
- Nose
- Cherries, ginger, licorice, dark caramel and spicy honey.
- Body
- Buttery soft light to medium bodied.
- Palate
- Salty and sweet, buttery. Macadamia nuts. Butterscotch or toffee, subtle. Buttery leather notes, as odd as it sounds.
- Finish
- Malty, wheat, butter. Quick finish, supplanted with pumpkin seeds. Lingering notes of oily butter.
A decent sweeter single malt, with buttery notes. Not too intimidating, but lacks the fervor of something truly special. A good day-to-day sweet Scotch.

- Color
- Very dark golden honey
- Nose
- Fruity, apricot, a tiny bit of phenolic.
- Body
- Warming, full, smooth - a little oily.
- Palate
- Very little peat if any, a touch of raspberry and other citrus.
- Finish
- Smooth again on the finish - finish is somewhat short.
Very smooth - smooth neat - even smoother with a bit of water. if this Whisky lacks anything, it is complexity but it makes up for that in great taste - a great scotch for a beginner who wants move up to the next level. A great value.

- Color
- Copper
- Nose
- Prominent sherry notes, a buttery feel acts as a bridge to a rather complex sea of toffee, vanilla and ripe fruits, topped off with a whiff of cream.
- Body
- Thick, heavy, oily and slippery. Remindings of Auchentoshan Threewood.
- Palate
- A solid whole of sherry, fruits, and butter. Some oak is suggested, though not enough not to keep you guessing. Dry, yet buttery. Smooth, yet complex. Toffee notes and buttery almond.
- Finish
- Contradictive somehow, and somewhat hard to desbrice. Slight but demanding tingling fooling the nerves and laying down after a while. Oak outlasts other notes, in the back of the mouth, whilst the tip of the tongue is left a numb, buttery feel. Minutes afterwards, the littlest hint of nuts & sherry comes forward. Has a bit of a cognac feel to it.
Slightly better than I read here, and surely more interesting than the reviews below would suggest. Quite interesting, and even more enjoyable. A very fine experience.

- Color
- Old Gold
- Nose
- Homey, Cereal + Floural notes, Candy, Sweet. Water brings out peat.
- Body
- Sweet, Medium. Much drier with water.
- Palate
- Maple sugar, Candy, Slight sherry. Water brings out peat.
- Finish
- Short, Sweet & Light. Some sour flavours lasting longer. Water brings out a minty cool and effervessence.
A sweet and fruity malt with extra peat and a minty effervessence watered. This one wants a little bit of water.
